We have a new customer that is nestled among rural village life in Staplehurst, Kent. 

This is interesting – we were playing around today with bitter compound called PTC (phenylthiocarbamide).

We have never roasted Robusta coffee before – we’ve had a few so called celebrated Robusta’s across the cupping table in the past only to be profoundly unimpressed and thus have always really thought of Robusta as undrinkable (in our view) and at best a low grade filler at the value end of the coffee industry. 

10% of the purchase price of this espresso blend goes directly to the Born Free Foundation - and what is even more cool, the blend is made from 4 top coffees that come from areas where Born Free have wildlife projects. As a side note: - maybe you have to be of a certain age to remember the 1966 film called Born Free, but if you have not seen this Academy Award, Golden Globe and a Grammy Award winner - you should.
